Can You Paint Mosaic Tile??

This is what I googled and I only found ugly answers, so I set out to find out the answer. Why would I want to paint the amazing tile I laid??? Well I still think I want white kitchen cabinets once the grey love wears off. It would really lighten up the room. But, my much-loved backsplash has 0 white in it:

I have some left over. So I pulled out some leftover satin white pant and a craft brush to experiment. 1 minute later this is what I had. 

It's super subtle and blends way better with the white background right?! 

When I try it in real life you'll be the first to know, but it sure looks like the answer to my google inquiry was yes!
